Wraparound Care at Our Lady of the Rosary 

At Our Lady of the Rosary, our Wraparound Care offers a warm, welcoming and engaging environment where children can begin and end their school day feeling happy, secure and well supported. Both Early Risers and Cool Club are run entirely by our own school staff, ensuring that children are cared for by familiar adults who understand their needs and help them feel at home. Our provision is designed to feel calm, friendly and full of opportunities for children to play, explore and relax in a safe space.

Early Risers gives children a gentle, positive start to the morning. Children arrive to a relaxed, sociable atmosphere where they can settle in at their own pace. A choice of breakfast items is available for those who would like to eat, although there is no expectation for every child to do so.

Once settled, children can choose from a variety of morning activities. Some prefer creative tasks such as drawing or craft, while others enjoy construction, small-world play or simple puzzles to warm up their thinking for the day ahead. Many take time to read or talk quietly with friends. The focus is on helping every child begin their day feeling calm, prepared and ready to learn.

Cool Club provides a lively, friendly and flexible end to the school day. Children bring their own snacks from home and have time to settle before choosing how they would like to spend their afternoon. The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, allowing children to unwind after a busy day.

There is a wide variety of activities available. Children who enjoy creative play can get involved in craft, drawing or imaginative activities, while those who want a quieter space can read, play games or take time to relax. Outdoor play is an important part of Cool Club, with supervised access to the school grounds allowing children to take part in games, sports or simply enjoy time outside with friends. Throughout the session, staff encourage independence, kindness and cooperation, creating an inclusive environment where every child feels comfortable and supported.

Wraparound Care operates during term time for children in Reception to Year 6.
The clubs run at the following times:

• Monday to Thursday: 7.30am – 6.00pm

• Friday: 7.30am – 8.30am

Collection from after-school provision can take place at any time before 6.00pm.
