Catholic Life and Mission

Walk in love, as Christ loved us.Ephesians 5:2
At Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Primary School, our Catholic identity is the foundation of everything we do. The life of the school is shaped by the Gospel, rooted in prayer, and strengthened by our partnership with families and the parish community. We seek to create an environment where every child recognises that they are loved by God and is encouraged to live with kindness, hope and integrity.
Our Catholic Life and Mission is expressed in the way we welcome, celebrate and care for one another. Children are given daily opportunities to encounter God through prayer, liturgy, scripture and service. The rhythm of the liturgical year guides our worship and enriches the spiritual formation of the whole community, helping pupils grow in understanding of their faith and in their relationship with God.
We are committed to living out the Church’s call to mission. This includes helping children recognise their responsibility towards others, developing a spirit of generosity, and encouraging them to make a positive difference in the world. Through acts of charity, social action, and engagement with Catholic Social Teaching, pupils learn that faith is lived through love, justice and compassion.
Catholic Life at Our Lady of the Rosary is a shared journey. Together with parents, carers and the parish, we strive to cultivate a community where children can flourish academically, spiritually and personally. The pages in this section of our website offer a closer look at the many ways our Catholic identity is lived each day -through our mission, our saints, our parish links, our celebrations and our commitment to serving others.
