Live Simply Award
The LiveSimply Award, led by CAFOD, invites Catholic schools and communities to show they are living simply, sustainably and in solidarity with others. Inspired by Laudato Si’, it encourages us to put faith into action by caring for people and for our common home.
Our Commitment
At Our Lady of the Rosary, we have chosen to work towards the LiveSimply Award as a way of deepening our response to the Gospel call to love God, love one another and care for creation. Each of our actions is guided by Catholic Social Teaching and shaped by Scripture and prayer.
Through this journey, we want pupils to understand that small, thoughtful choices can make a lasting difference, whether that means protecting creation, supporting others or living with gratitude and generosity. Our whole school community, including families, governors and parishioners, will take part as we learn together what it means to live simply, sustainably and in solidarity.
How We Plan to Live Simply
Our LiveSimply journey is built around actions that help us to live out our faith in practical and meaningful ways. Across the year, pupils and staff will take part in projects that celebrate creation, care for the environment and show solidarity with others in our local and global community.
Through prayer, learning and action, we aim to make caring for people and for the world a visible part of school life. Updates and reflections from our LiveSimply work will be shared on this page as our journey continues.
