Section 48 Inspection Report

Our last Section 48 Inspection took place in June 2019. The report celebrated both our Catholic life and the quality of our religious education, recognising the strength of our community and the way faith is lived out each day at Our Lady of the Rosary. It reflected how our mission of “Joy, Excellence, Service” is visible in daily school life and in the witness of our pupils and staff.

Inspectors highlighted:

  • Outstanding Catholic life, with prayer and worship at the heart of our school.
  • Exemplary behaviour for learning, rooted in Gospel values.
  • A vibrant Catholic environment, with creative, Christ-centred displays and prayer areas throughout the school.
  • Strong commitment to the Common Good and Catholic Social Teaching, lived out through action and service.
  • Excellent support for pupils with additional needs, ensuring everyone is included in religious education.
  • High standards of teaching and learning in RE, with pupils showing strong religious literacy.
  • Pupils who are confident to plan and lead worship.
  • Inspirational partnerships with our parish, parents and wider community, with the parish priest playing a central role in school life.
  • Leadership and governance that are ambitious, committed and deeply rooted in the mission of the Church.
